Thermostatic Expansion Valve
Check to see if the remote bulb is located at the proper position on the suction line, and that it is properly insulated. It should have good clean contact with the suction line and be tightly strapped.
Liquid Line Drier
Incorrect sizing of the liquid line drier is a mistake that is made time and time again. It is important that a field replacement drier be installed. This drier is larger than the factory installed drier. Before you leave the job it is always good to check and make sure there is no temperature or pressure drop across the drier.
