The most common problem with solenoid valves is refrigerant leaking by the seat. When you pump down your system pay close attention to the amount of leak back the unit has. A leaking solenoid will cause the compressor to short cycle and result in compressor failure.
IF IT LEAKS…REPLACE IT.
